Version 1.8 supports that DSPs can inform record companies or distributors about local identifiers it has allocated to the works, resources, releases and/or parties referenced in a NewReleaseMessage.

Version 1.7 harmonises the communication of acknowledgements and release status between the cloud-based storage and web service choreographies. The second edition of Version 1.7 updates the language used, but does not introduce technical changes. Version 1.6 was the first version of this standard.
