5.3 Personalising the feed

Many record companies or distributors have different offerings, potentially for each of their DSP business partners. In these cases it is essential that the web server of a record company or distributor can identify which DSP is making call to its web service. This can be done with or without formal authentication. The benefit of using formal authentication is that it also enables the record company or distributor and the DSP to ensure that the communication is secure.
